Here's a tip, gentlemen - take a look at Hugh's name in his last post, click on it to view his profile, and note that he hasn't been here since June 19th. No matter how many times we ask for an update, if he isn't here he can't/won't respond. I'm sure we would all like to know, but adding replies here doesn't bring it to his attention. If you try to PM or e-mail him asking for an update that might help depending on how he has his settings for this website, but some people block both.

Actually it does...at least with my account. Whenever someone posts to a thread I started or even contributed to, I get an email notification. I assume Hugh would too.

          Joe,

If that is the case, why would the OP elect not to receive answers, advice and feedback to his own inquiry? I have my own thoughts as to why he is not more open and they will remain my thoughts.

It is really unfortunate the OP is not willing to provide occasional updates to our membership even though he was the benefactor of the knowledge base of the NCRS.

I don't know that he did elect to not receive notification of responses to his post. I'm just pointing out that a member can elect not to receive responses. I don't think it's wise for someone to do so but it's an option nevertheless.

I turned off responses on this forum long ago. Years ago. Probably the first day I could do it.
Let's admit it - I visit here, um, more than once a day, and recheck threads that I've responded to. I have no need to get my e-mail Inbox cluttered with notifications about responses.

There are forums where I leave that on, or turn it on for certain threads on those forums. However, those are forums that I visit infrequently and/or am looking for responses to specific questions.

In another thread concerning shock absorbers, the OP recently wrote: "Auctions America in Auburn, IN have the Car now and are making it right. I should get the car back soon. They picked the Car up by Reliable Carriers at their expense. Hugh, member #60,000."

Am I the only one who wonders how AA is going about "making it right?" A number of NCRS members put some considerable thought into their responses to the OP and they shouldn't be left wondering as to the outcome.

Maybe they tracked down the paint shop and found they had the correct 59 VIN tag and title in their file cabinet? Stranger things have happened.

I asked Hugh the same question in his thread on shock absorbers...I was shocked he didn't respond. NOT!!!!

                      Loren------

Well, I'm pretty sure that they have a title to match the 1960 VIN tag that was on the car (in order to sell the car at auction in the first place). If the paint shop comes up with a 1959 VIN tag which matches the 1959 VIN derivative on the frame, it will be interesting to see if they come up with a clear title, too.

Thank You well Intersted to see how Auctions Amercia will handle this one as well. By the way, the door VIn plate number was a 1958 VIN numbe, r not a 1960

Oops, sorry. I should have said 1958 instead of 1960.

                            Leif and Ed and all those others that may be interested;

First of all, This is Great club and I'm proud to be one of the newest members!! # 60,000. Thank you so much for your comments, and advice regarding My recent difficulities on a title on my 59 Corvette.
Thank You! I am brand new to Antique Corvettes, I did own one once upon a time but that was a 1976-- Oh I loved it! Auctions America told me personally, they would fix the Problem, I did ask how they propose to fix the Matter, I was told me "They are professionals" and will fix it. I realise what must be done here, I it not all that easy, But at lest for the lasy 30 days I wanted to give them a chance and see how they might handle this matter. I will contract AA tomorrow and ask some pointed questions regarding what they are/may be doing regaring the Title on my Corvette and Just How they have corrected the matter. I wil keep you posted-- I've so busy around here what with building a new Barn/garage, Please bear with me!

                            Thanks again

I don't think that you need to "bug" them about it now. However, when they finally re-contact you, you need to carefully and fully scrutinize the whole issue and their "solution". Unless the solution is 100% solid, I would not accept it. It's going to be VERY interesting as to what they come up with.
