Re: Packard connector part number question

    Tom,
Have you called any of the Corvette wrecking yards? Also, as Terry mentioned, some of us live in areas where there are still early 70's vehicles in wrecking yards. That might just be where a few of these are hiding.

I remember a 68 Chevelle at a wrecking yard that I took parts off of for years and years for my El Camino. Funny thing is, about ten years ago someone bought the whole El Camino to do a restoration. This happened to a lot of the cars that were in wrecking yards out here. All of the sudden there are replacement reproduction parts available and all of the sudden these old wrecks are gems again.

Time has a funny way of working things out.

Enough running off about old stories.

I will take a look to see if I have one of those connectors when I get home tomorrow.

And Joe, the answer to your question is "no". The clip is a separate piece that slides right out of the connector. I can have my son slide that clip out of the connector, if you would like a picture of it just to have it.

I will send you a PM, Tom, as soon as I can look on my old harnesses.

    Monte
