Looking over comments from my previous judging sheets and noticed a comment about R79S NT Parting line. Any idea what this refers to? Is there a simple fix to make it look more typical?

Re: Restoration Battery R79S Battery parting line
Gary, I am guessing the following statement in the JG is what the judge's note refers to. Batteries fall under standard deductions in the Judging Reference Guide.
Current reproduction batteries for the R79S are molded from a material that results in a depression showing where the cell separators are molded to the top. Originals did not have depressions where the separators are molded to the top. Refer to the Judging Reference Manual for a deduction on this obvious configuration difference.

Most likely I was the judge that made that comment and very minor deduction. 1 point. Original batteries had a completely smooth top. The current reproductions show a few faint depressions where a likely reinforcing rib is moulded into the inside of the top. I have brought this to the attention of Tom at Restoration Battery.- Top
