The Board of Directors in any organization is like underware! It needs to be changed frequently!

I think team leaders should be changed frequently............63-64 guys have had the same one 20+ years.

If "documentation validation" is kaput does that mean the B-J auction connection and free NCRS booth are also history? Dick's initial notice on the Forum recites 4 Board names - last time I looked, there were 9 Board members; has there been another invisible Bylaws amendment or is this another part of the "new Math"?

Loren, appointed positions require a 2/3 majority vote so that meant Roy wouldn't get the 6 votes needed for appointment.

There should be an off-topic forum on THIS web-site. The totalitarian crushing of any dissension causes a lot of bad feelings. There's no place for personal attacks, but what's the harm in a "suggestion box" forum. I'm afraid the "greying" of this organization will continue unless some open mindness starts! Uh oh, is my post going to go poof?

I have made that suggestion frequently to my regional board member rep, but alas nothing has ever happened to it.

Guessing there might be a general discussion forum or off topic forum on this site whenever the BoD so chooses and directs it. Probably won't happen anytime soon since there are plenty of other blogs out there for general corvette related chatter. So far, this remains a forum for discussion of important club related topics that concern the preservation and restoration of corvettes and technical issues. The status of the DVS is a relevant topic and several moderators have chimed in, and nothing has gone poof. Leave the provocations at the door and try to limit the speculation and rumor mongering and there should be no problem. Real information that will answer the questions will probably come out pretty soon.

I am very sorry to hear that Roy is has found it necessary to leave.

I would like to know the details.

Like John Amgwerts exodus, whom I feel put out the best publication for this organization, I fear that will never happen. Sadly John, one of the founders has never returned.

Thanks Vinnie. So if I sort this out correctly Roy was given the job at the March regular meeting, the program commences in April and when Roy shows up at the Regional in the first week of June, he is informed that he no longer has the job and the program no longer exists because Vito, Bill Braun, Bill Baker and Marilyn Heitzman (names according to other sources) no longer (or never did) support him. Was there another Board meeting? Or did the program go away because the Other 5 Board members took the tack of "If you won't support Roy, you certainly won't get my help for your candidate.", and so no one could be chosen. Forgive me for asking, but what heinous crime did Roy commit in May that still allows him to walk the streets. Further, what (and when) was this 2/3 support item installed, to protect us from what? Thanks.

Loren, I can't address your questions about the board meeting or the the support, I would expect there would be something forthcoming in the next few days...only one I can answer is that the 2/3 item has been in place since before I started serving on the board in 1992...

These names were pulled off the CF site because they were threatened with a law suit by someone in NCRS. WTF is going on.

Do you think any of this warrants a lawsuit or would support a lawsuit brought by anyone in the NCRS named in that Corvette Forum article???
