    Jack Instruction Card

My jack instruction card has, basically, disintegrated over the years and I have a new one purchased from LIC. The instructions say to install with rubber cement. My question is rubber cement on the back only OR rubber cement on the back and then spread over the top to protect? Was the original rubber cement slathered on the board as well and, if so, how far outside the borders of the instruction card.

    Thanks All

Lief, I used 3M spray tack, just place the label on the board and mask the area around the perimeter of the label then lay some paper down and tape it down and spray the 3M and let dry slightly then place label down carefully as it sticks the moment it is placed.

      Ed,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm guessing I place the label face down before spraying with 3M spray tack. Also, are you recommending spraying the back of the label as well as the board? I'm picturing using the jack card as a template and then spraying the board.

Leif the label is paper, it will soak it up and screw up the label, just spray the board. also the labels were not placed perfectly just use your outline of your old label.

What are you trying to achieve? Typical factory production, or pretty? Leif, I should be able to remember what year you have, but have forgotten. That would help me give you a better answer.

Mike,It's a '67 Coupe. To answer your question, I would be leaning more towards factory production.
