    Holly List 3367 rebuild/replacement

I have the original carb' on my 66 L 79, but unfortunately with a stripped' thread in the main body casting. I am looking for a dependable shop recommendation for repair/refurbishment.Also, I have noted Corvette Central offers new' 4160's - w/correct List 3367 identification. Has anybody installed one of the new' units and have thoughts to offer?thanksBill

Only place I know that sells new vintage Holleys is in Op Alabama-can give you # if you like. Maybe CC gets theirs from them. The new ones are similar but have some improvements that make them slightly different from back when. Even if you get a new one, don't assume it's set up correctly or perfect from factory. I bought one. secondaries kept flooding; found out it had a pin hole in float. Sure just a fluke, not saying the design is bad, but still...

Which thread is stripped, more than not this can be repaired very easily.

Take it to a good machine shop and have a helicoil installed.

        Bill,

If Jerry Luck is still restoring Holley carbs, then he could fix your original carb. He's in MO, but I don't have any contact info for him.

Eric Jackson at Vintage Muscle Car Parts or Jerry McNeish could also repair it rebuild/restore it if needed. Would probably be he best way to go if carb is original. Don't know if I would trust a regular machine shop. IF you are interested in the new Holleys, improved design but not like older originals in some respects: Specialty Parts Warehouse, Op AL, (334)493-1240..
