How to delete a new posting of mine?

I just posted a question about Parkolac and soon after I found my answer in some earlier postings. I can't figure out how to delete the posting I made a 30 minutes ago. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Gary

    FAQ's answer

If you have registered, you will be able to edit and delete your posts for 12 hours after you have submitted the post.
To edit or delete your posts, click the button by the post you want to edit. If your post was the first in the thread, then deleting the post may result in the removal of the entire thread.
The reasoning behind this is to prevent someone from creating a post that causes a lot of discussion and then coming back and changing their original post to make someone who legitimately answered it look foolish.
When you post a message it is always a good idea to click on the "Review Post" button first to see exactly what your post is going to look like. Gives you one more chance to proof read it before committing it.
After you have made your modifications, a note may appear, which notifies other users that you have edited your post. Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages but this note may not appear when they do so.

      There's no option to delete.

      Gary,

I've gone to the edit function, but I don't see a delete option. I am registered and logged in.

I don't get a screen like you show.

          Gary,

I don't get a screen like yours. When I edit, I get the choices of Save, Go Advanced, or Cancel. But none of those choices lead to a delete option.

There should be a "Delete" button there. If not, hit "Go Advanced". There will be a "Delete Message" option there.

"It's there.....it's there!" No problems. I look forward to writing then deleting many future posts! Thanks Paul.

                  Gary and Michael,

Discovered the FAQ is incorrect and John's updated it with the info below.
