I received my shipping report and have a dilemma. The report says my ’63 (with A/C) was delivered in April ’63 to Spence Chevrolet in Daytona Beach. It makes sense that an air car would be delivered to Florida. My dilemma is that when I spoke to the original owner’s Mother, the original owner was ill and not available, she told me he bought the car in Rhode Island where he lived at the time. That seems like a long way for a dealer trade. Spence Chevrolet was sold to Jon Hall in 1985 and renamed Jon Hall Chevrolet, which is still in business today. I would like to verify the accuracy of the delivery report and try to figure out how someone in Rhode Island bought the car. Do any members know it there is anyone still working at Jon Hall Chevrolet that might remember a 1963 Corvette Convertible, Red/Red with Air Conditioning arriving at Spence Chevrolet in April of 1963? It is possibly the first air Corvette made and would certainly make an impression at the dealership.

Is it possibly a "Courtesy Delivery" ?
A person could buy a car from a dealer in one area and have it courtesy delivered in a different city.
The actual delivering dealer received a small fee $50-100. and the "new car.
set-up" credit.
