I just got on this morning and, again, using my bookmark, it took a long time (in comparison to other sites) to get on. Navigating to this part of the DB site was also very slow. I appreciate the tech help above but this is way above my "pay grade". Maybe I'm making too much of this- there are many more important things in this life to worry about. Thanks again for all you do.

As Rick points out it could be anything. Coincidentally, when I read about your TDB connection being slow to load pages, I noticed it was taking some pages on the NCRS website longer than normal to load for me.

I then connected to my cell phone via WiFi and checked the same pages, which loaded with normal load speed.

Also, both the NCRS the server provider and myself have run numerous speed load tests from locations around the U.S. and all had good page load speed results.

So, my suggestion would be to try using your cell phone cell service to connect to the NCRS website to check page load speed and see if there's a difference.

JMTCW for anyone that's having a pages load slower than normal.

Like Rick said it could PC cache, history or running low on memory requiring a reboot or not to mention the zillion routers, Internet gateways, miles of fiber hardware between users and the NCRS server location. Similar parallel to street intersections that would be crossed from any location to the server. Lots of components and circuits in the Internet highway system.

Slow Page Loading

The page loading on this site has become excruciatingly slow for me. I'm not having this problem on other web sites so I don't think it's a problem with any part of my system. I've tried using different browsers and the problem persists. Is anyone else having this problem?

I did as suggested and cleared all history and cookies- no change. Very slow to get to site and navigate within.

Jeff,

Did you run the test as suggested after downloading the Chrome page load test extension as suggested in my previous post.

Also, do you have a cell phone? Try accessing the TDB with your cell phone service using the Chrome app.

Then report your findings after running these tests.

Have identify a problem in the Internet before your requests get to the NCRS server.

Those of you who are having problems: Please read the attached "how to" do a trace route from you PC instructions and post your tracert results.

The NCRS server vendor has verified that the slow down problem several of us are experiencing are an Internet problem on the Internet highway before it gets to the NCRS server.

FWIW,

It's almost impossible to report an Internet connectivity problem. Response received after several hours on the phone and numerous transfers; "if you can reach the website, there's no problem".

I tried guys. Escalated, but no joy.

I did this. I did not get any "connection timed out" lines in the report. However, I have many times got "connection timed out" messages after I'd been waiting for the page to load.

Just now, it took me 27 seconds to get to this thread after clicking on the link. Then, it took 156 seconds after I clicked on "reply with quote" to post this response. Who knows how long it will take after I click on "submit reply".

By the way, my download speed is 30 MBPS.
