Why is there no photos of members cars

Just wondering why a huge membership car club has no link for photos of members cars. I would love to see a link to see photos of members cars.
We put so much time, effort and dollars into these cars I would love to see their cars. Not parts, Just our cars !! Just a thought.

They can put their car(s) in their Avatar.

I would think security might be a concern though. JD

Agree with John, probably not a good idea to let thieves know where cars are located. Just my old 2 cents

Re: Why is there no photos of members cars

I think the idea of photos of cars is a teriffic idea. Besides the relationships an individual forges with other enthusiasts, the cars are why we are here! Among the NCRS members are some of the best cars ever produced! Another benefit would be the exposure to collections and the buildings that house them. I respect the security issue! But, other sites (i.e yenko.net) display very signifigant cars and the members do not seem to have any problem.

I would agree with others, that this would be a very good idea, and very likely boost membership and therefore project the mission of the NCRS.
Take a quick look at the post of , and you will see a very good example of how some of the members have kindly shared photographs of their Corvettes, other than just avatar pics.. Ridge.

While I love to look at pictures and think it's not a threat, I also think this is a TECHNICAL discussion board. Pictures that answer questions or help in restoration are a must. A pretty picture of a Corvette belongs on CF.

I'd like to see NCRS have such a forum, but I don't think this is it.

The American Midyear Society (AMYS) out in sunny California is an online registry where the car is the member and the owner is sort of just it's caretaker. Many of these cars and their specifics are in pictures and text for anyone to look at on their website; AMYS@midyear.org

Brian Pallas is the founder and has some super midyears that have been featured in several Corvette magazine articles. I met him here in Florida last year as he was touring local car shows and cruise ins recruiting new members. The picture in my header is the one he took of my 63 for the website listing.

                      Terry,
Isn't this NCRS site closed now to non-members? I thought there was a 30 day grace period, but after that you had to be a member. Unless we have a bad element lurking here, I'm agreeing with Stewy and the others that it'd be a great idea. (for those that wish to participate).

Re: Why is there no photos of members cars

Is it my understanding that this site can not be viewed unless you are a member. If so, what would be the problem with having another header at the top of the page along with "membership services", "contacts", "submit driveline ad" etc with one titled "member cars" or something to that effect. Only available to members eyes? Just a thought to address the privacy issue.

Nice to se close up of other rides. For security in the mnts we have a 44/40 aimed at the garage door. Seems efffective.

Well written and also very accurate. The title at the top of the page says Technical Discussion. Pretty soon we will be like old HMN. Ask questions in front of the mag. Show nice pics of your cars and trucks. Sell parts. Have nice wanted section. Maybe a service offered section.. Just remembered. We have all of that right now.!!! Called "The Restorer" and "The Driveline". Sorry I forgot as getting old and have brain relapses. JD

Why not have a separate link for pictures of member cars by year and vin#..can you imagine the archive that could be built. I would think members would enjoy being able to view a selection of cars to see what they look like in a given color as they begin restoration on their car.

I don't see how a separate link would interfere with the TDB.
