Is there a supplier of ready to use spray can paint for the interior red (signet red I believe) for a 58? I need to paint the trunk cardboard and would like to get a close match. The trunk paint is original and the cardboard divider is incorrect and getting replaced. Thanks, Ken

Re: C1 paint source
Eckler's and Mid America used to offer a line of small shake 'n spray interior paints, if memory serves. But, nothing matches like 'spare' paint left over from your original restoration....
Also, you might try doing a look-up at www.autocolorlibrary.com as the website goes WAY back with original blend codes for both interior and exterior colors that you can have blended once you know the appropriate blend code....- Top

Re: C1 paint source
Kenneth,
If your car is driving then you should be able to get a DuPont or any major paint supplier to use a scanner to match the paint.
They just hold the scanner over the original colour and the info is entered into their puter and it punches out the code.
I used this method after I mixed the sample color and painted a small area on a piece of scrap metal.
Some paint supply shops can then put it into a pressure pac can but if not you can buy a cheap sprayer at a hobby store and use that.
Good Luck. Mark.
