    When you disconnect the vacuum line the engine revs will drop because of both the reduced idle timing and the leaned out mixture. It's usually best to plug the line so the engine will still run.

    John H has an Acton timing light that he recommends, and the Sears dialback light is the same product. I noticed it was on sale back in November for $59.99 and bought one. My old fixed timing light was beginning to shock me more often than it flashed the bulb.

    Shoulda bought a dial back light years ago. They're just great!!!
