I was told that the bandjo axle for posi. unit's from the factory had a baffle in it. Is it ok to put a posi unit in a bandjo axle that orginally had a open rear end with no baffle? Thanks for any help. john

Re: C-1 bandjo axle question
John, I assume you are referring to the 2 large flat washers that the axles go through just before they index into the center section. They were just tach welded in place. I do not know if they were unique to Posi housings. In any case, I can't see why it would hurt to install a Posi unit - I'm sure it happened many times over the years.- Top

Re: C-1 bandjo axle question
In addition to the tube washers - there is an on slinger/dripper baffle in the top of the banjo housing. For hard driving would recommend a posi banjo housing which will keep the ring gear bathed in grease. For limited street driving and NCRS events, a non-posi unit should be just fine.
