Help! I'm, in Atlanta at the Walter Mitty Vintage race and I have an electical problem. My system doesn't seem to be keeping a charge. The voltage at my altenator is 12.8 Volts. Is this enough to charge the battery? It's a single wire DELCO alternator. I'd appreciate any advice from you sparkies out there . Jerry I'm at DNIK@AOL.com

Re: SHOCKING !!!!
Jerry - sounds like you have either an alternator output problem, regulator problem, or wiring problem. You should see somewhere around 13.8 to 14.5 volts at the alternator output terminal. Since you indicate single wire, I am assuming you have a 10DN series alternator and external regulator, so I would start at the regulator first....Craig- Top
