Job Numbers?

Has anyone ever deciphered the job numbers on these old corvettes? My 1965 body is off and I am finding job numbers as I clean, and wondered if anyone has info. on them? Under the gauge console, on the bar, I have in white 8327, on the bulkhead in front of the gas tank in red E263.I believe, there should also be a number on the firewall (engine side) under the previous owners black paint. Is there anywhere on a midyear where the factory left a body color notation in writing like on some straight axles? Thanks

Try looking on each inside door (on the fiberglass that would contact the vinyl door panel). Maybe middle lower area, on a flat surface below the door pull mechanism. Should be same as facing gas tank, and passenger footwell (engine side). Jack H. reports #'s also under fiberboard headliner on hardtop optioned cars.
