Hey Jerry-

I was curious what the BW A120V crossed to. When I went into a local store for points recently they seemed seemed to be the only ones that worked on a dual point system. The box says Bog Warner Select with a Nascar symbol on it. Just curios they actually seem like a well made set of points.

I enjoyed this post thread regarding ignition points, but must admit it is a little confusing to follow.

If one wants the 19-23 ounce (low RPM) point set, what is the correct Borg-Warner number?

Also, thanks for the tip about the Delco #508N spark plug wires. I really didn't want to spend $60 for some of the other choices.

for more tension we just backed up

the moving point with a piece of foam rubber. helped to sabilize the points at high RPM and on drag engines we just used a double spring. i also used a home made,by me,"dwell extender" which used a SCR(silicon controlled rectifier) to close the points electrically before they close mechanically to increase the dwell for max spark energy at hi RPM.

The standard breaker arm tension B-W point set is A120 or A120V for the ventilated set or A2120 for the "uniset" that includes the integral condenser.
