i have a 1959 vette # 150 built in sept 58 i have a problem with one of my heads the pad is stamped F909DJ 2x4 245hp i have a chance to get set of heads casting number 3755550 dated I228 sept 22 1958 would this be to late for this motor or would this be a perfect match because its within 2 weeks of the block
If the engine was assembled on Sept. 9th but the heads weren't cast until Sept. 22nd, it would be a very neat trick in time travel to have those heads be part of that engine.
I'm afraid they are too late if you want the numbers to all match.
Bob - most of the TIM&JG limits are 6 months prior to the build date of the car, at least in the midyear timeframe. I am guessing C1 is similar. While possible, typical was a lot less, but from the judging view, the 6 month rule usually applies...Craig
