    1966 Big Block

    Hi,

New to the board, but a member for the past three years. I'm leaving tomorrow to look at a 1966 big block roadster (390/427). I need some info on what to look for to verify that it is an original BB. It is a NOM 390/427. I know about the sway bars, tach and oil pressure guage, but is there anything else that I can use to verify it's build?

    Thanks,

    Kirk Turner

core support and gas line from tank to fuel pump. Judging manual( i still can't refer to it as a J.G.) discusses these . mike

        Mike,

Don't have the judging manual for a 66 (do for 63,67,69). Could you be a little more specific. (can't get one by tomorrow either).

the 65 and 67 marrk 4 engines used the same main fuel line that a 66 bib block utilized. Basically, the overall length and the angle bent on the fuel pump end of the line differ from mall to big block fuel lines. mike

Sorry, it's LH mount for hood support.

              Kirk,
The hood support for a big block 66 is located on the left side unless the VIN is approx. 3600 or before, it would then be located on the left side as a carry over from the 65 model.

Thank-you all for your help. Hopefully it is as nice a car as the gentleman has told me.
