Gentlemen, and the few Ladies present:
This evening I received the following message from the NCRS home office and I quote:
Subj: Archive Post

Geoffrey,
I deleted you message about the archive post again tonight. I also deleted the offending post from the archives. You have been around long enough to know that like everything in life there is a ying and a yang. Everyone on the board behaves in a very adult manner for some period of time. Then things get a little free wheeling. When they reach a point that I start getting e-mail from users and Directors about offending posts I delete them and admonish everyone to clean it up. I do not, have not and don't intend on going through 130,000 previous posts to delete any that may not fit what should always be an acceptable standard. I would really like to have the luxury of the time to delete all none technical posts in the archives.

And my response:
Mr. Waggoner:
I appreciate your concern and I do understand your limitations.
If I locate an offensive personal or false attack, I should be afforded the opportunity to address or refute such material. A one sided view is parenthetically unfair, as is denying equal access.
When folk start writing about my company bouncing checks, or not delivering merchandise or misinforming about the condition or quality of the items or not shipping promptly or refunding promptly, I’ll not raise a hair if we are at fault.
However, it is repugnant to read the personally attacks that the NCRS has archived by folk who just couldn’t have it their way. They did not get stiffed, cheated, scammed or otherwise ripped off.

PS I’m tired. Been busy today. Had to get and then unload 500 lbs. of cracked corn for the cold hungry homeless folk. My job is like yours: It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. The corn lasts about 2 weeks. The sobs at the feed store cut their 10% bulk discount and said they had a new corn supplier. These sacks are different too. Anyone know a better vendor?
