i went to install a deck-lid w/s on the 69 ,GM part#3826967 and found the length a tad long, is the w/s to be spliced , and if so where ? and was this found on original or just on the replacement w/s, .

While door WS was 'cut' at the bottom center to promote outgassing and allow smooth close/latch action of the doors, the convertible deck lid WS was NOT cut. All of the circumference is exposed to ambient elements (wind/water) that can invade the rear compartment.
