1967 Fan Shroud & Radiator Support

    Need help with finishes.
What is the correct finish for a 1967 fiberglass fan shroud? Should it be painted or natural? If painted what color and finish?
Also, what color and finish should the radiator support be? Should it be semi-flat black, semi-gloss or what?

Well, not exactly. If that support is on an AOS car, you are going to see a lot of green zink chromate, and black on those surfaces that were hit with the blackout process. That process typically was not too thorough. Most AOS sheet metal parts were finished in zinc chromate. The blackout process seldom got it all covered.

Thanks. I have a AOS car with the green zinc showing through. The blackout is heavy in places. It looks bad. My plan is to strip the old paint and repaint entire core support. I was going to paint the shroud. Now I'm re-thinking it. I had to remove a lot of overspray and undercoating that was on the shroud. It looks clean but a little ratty(spl?)
