    Re: DL on-line

I'm brand new to NCRS, but maybe on-line DL could be used as a fund generating item. There are a bunch of on-line services that charge for ads. NCRS is a well known and recognized name. I think it would be better for everyone if the DL was open to the public. Maybe it could be used to increase the number of members (join NCRS and use DL free) or the funds generated could be used to print more publications for members on restorations? It would be very important to consider how NCRS is established (501c non-profit organization), so that it would not have to pay taxes on the money (maybe).

Re: Two more Restorer issues per year?

The idea of having more QUALITY restoration material in the form of technical articles and truly useful information is great. But it's we, the members who must generate these articles. Our new editor, who(m)ever he may be, will only be asembling the text and photos we send him. I would hate to see the Corvette Restorer degenerate to "just another Corvette megazine" full of members pictures and articles about restaurants somewhere, just to fill up space. As far as some people receiving their Driveline too late to respond to ads for available parts, I've been on both sides of that one with people calling me about items I've advertised long before I received my own copy (and sometimes I've forgotten how much I asked for something!). But, I've been on the other side of that one, too.

Should we publish the Restorer more than quarterly? I'd say "yes" only when the pubication staff has been inundated with contributions from all of us and filling extra issues with good, meaningful stuff isn't a problem
