I have Chevrolet dealer lists for the Boston area, but they are only form 1988. There is no listing for dealer # 199. Sorry for the delay in posting this to the board, but I have been on the road.

Different drummer?

OK, sounds like you've done GOOD due diligence. Now, here's an approach that walks to the beat of a different drummer that's pretty fast/cheap but commonly overlooked by many. PAY for the info you want!

By this, I mean take an and in a Boston newspaper in the classified or Chevy car section . Offer, say, a $25 reward for the info you desire (free steak dinner and the like works too) and publish your phone number with instructions to call COLLECT. After you get what you want, simply refuse further collect calls.

All dealership sales guys read the newspaper want ads and I'll bet they come crawling out of the walls to render the info you want....

Thank you all for your help. I have called the local zone office, and they had no luck finding dealer number 199 in zone 32 in boston. Ihave a feeling that it might be porter chevrolet. They went out of business years ago and at the time was an older dealership in 1969. I'll keep hunting, if anyone hears anything let me know. Once again thank you gentlemen for all your help Jon
