    C2 Clock repair

I recently cleaned and reinstalled my old original clock in my 65. It ran for a little while and then stopped. It will run for a short time if I turn the adjusting knobs. I have heard stories about "burned" points. Can this be cleaned or repaired ? Is this a do it yourself thing or is it time to send it to a clock Doc.

      Hi Jerry,
My points were badly burned. I couldn't find replacement points, from the original manufactuer( they were available at one time from Eckler's and from the company- there is an NCRS article about clock repair and has the manufactuer's address etc.) Sooo I put a small electrical soder drop on each contact and filed them flat and it has worked without a problem.
