    '66 A/C compressor label

    Hi,

I was thinking about putting a new label on my a/c compressor when it is painted but the reproductions do not have date codes on them. Is there a way to stamp this code on it?

    Thanks,

    Ian

Ian - I've known folks to type them in using the manual typewriter. Another option, if you want to maintain the originality is to carefully mask off the label and paint the compressor. The foil label is a bit tricky so try not to stick the tape too hard on to the label. Pete

      Ian,

I used 1/8" tall stamps. I made a straight edge fixture from a combination square to rest the punches against so the numbers would be even. Wouldn't pass NCRS but better than blank. Buy 2 foil labels, one to practice on.
