How would one go about getting one of those fancy thermo-control radiator fans that free wheels above a certain speed. They're standard equipment on most vehicles today. I'm not even sure how they work. It would free up HP and cut down on fan noise.
the gm service replacement fan clutch( ask for one for a midyear small or large block at the goodwrench counter) will almost certainly work although i personally haven't tried it. good luck, mike) ps. state year of c-1 for future posts
Michael,
I put one on my '56 in the early '60's. After joing NCRS, I took it off. Didn't notice any difference (noise, temp, horsepower) one way or the other. Regards,
