I was trying to fire the '54 for the first time since last November. It starts with the starting fluid. Once it ran maybe 15 seconds. Now it only runs 2-3 seconds.
It has gas, and there is pressure in the fuel line to the carbs. I pulled the top off one of the carbs, and there is gas in it. Not sure if it is the right depth. How deep should it be in the well? I can't find the carb rebuild instructions.
I disconnected the fuel line and let the gas drain out, then started it again with the fluid. After it quit again, I opened up the fuel line clamp right before the carbs, and gas shot out.
I'm quite stumped. There is gas, spark, and air. The only thing I can think is something is wrong inside the carbs. It ran great last fall though.
Any suggestions?
