            Re: Just curious

Does the tube bottom out against an internal lip on the block or does it depend on a shoulder on the tube?

If it's a shoulder on the tube, how about this?

Use a long pan head bolt just small enough to slip down the tube remains, clamp it really REALLY tight in some vise grips, then using a block of wood or whatever you can use for a fulcrum (did I spell that right? ) apply pressure to force the tube upward.

The flat face of the bolt head might just be able to grab the tube edge and cheat it up far enough to grab onto. If you try this, just make sure that you don't reef on it too too much or you might risk popping the bolt head off.

Now as the tube is extreemly thin, you might have to experiment with just catching the edge if the end is flush with the inner block surface.

A cheap fix if it works.
