    But seriously folks....

This is a first for me, and am wondering if anyone out there has done the same thing and regretted it.

If you check page 32 of the Vol.#1 Summer 1998 Corvette Restorer Magazine, you will find an article addressing "An Engine Test Dashboard Box." This is a setup with gauges, on/off switch, pushbutton starter switch, Etc. Have FUN! David Nims member 19639

OK, I have seen numerous references to 'The Beast' over quite a period of time. Best I can tell, it is a tasty adult beverage?

                    Re: The Beast?

In my case, it refers to a homebrew concoction of mine similar to an old fashioned mead, which a friend mine named it "The Beast" back in the early 90's. Like you, I've seen the reference made to the "Beast" here many times, causing me to smile about how delirious we used to get on the old mead. Strictly coincidental regarding the name. But I suspect the effect is similar.

In college we called Malwaukee's Best beer the "beast" beacue it had a tendency to cause gastrointestinal "problems" when consumed in large quantities and beast sounds like best. Didn't matter - it was cheap and we had little money.

                            Re: The Beast?

I believe the references made to the beast on this board, particularly by and individual from Maryland, refer to the specific brand Milwaukee’s Best. A story in The Restorer regarding his use of a case of the beast as a wheel chock clarified that terminology.

                                Dave:

Look at my post "Fun Restoration Pictures". above. Pay particular attention to the "Engine Test" photos. They might help you somewhat.
If you do this, keep a close eye on the temp gauge. Without an effective fan shroud, much of the air bypasses the radiator.
