    Wash before anything

Many are quick to drop parts in the parts washer solution or into the sandblaster, but you can lose a lot of valuable info from paint stripes and grease pencil numbers.

Wash carefully with warm soap and water as you take things apart and loot for what comes out. It helps to scan the restoration books to know whee markings are so you are looking for them on your car.

      Re: Wash before anything

Roger that Mike. This restoration is going to be slow and methodical. (mostly because we just simply can't afford to drop all the money at one time to do a complete restoration. It's gonna have to be done over time.

        Re: Correct Carb

If you send your carb out, don't be in any hurry to get it back. I sent mine out more than two months ago and have lost the summer driving. I still don't have it back.

ps, if I had to do it over again, I would send my carb to Jerry Luck during the winter months.
