I'm being told that the original carb on a '66 small block with K19 (California smog) has a list#3605, as opposed to the numbers in the judging manual as well as the Noland Adams book. Can anyone verify the correct #s for this application?

Every reference that I have, including GM-sourced references, indicate that the carburetor used for 1966 Corvettes with 327 (both 300 hp and 350 hp) and K-19 used carburetor GM #3890499 aka Holley 3605A. In addition, the AIM shows this as the carburetor used. The NCRS spec guide that I have shows the 3605A, too.
The carburetor mentioned in Noland Adams' book is the GM #3883821 aka Holley 3416A. I can find no information that GM #3883821 was ever a released part number. Also, I can find no record of the existence of the Holley 3416A.
It's possible, considering the part number, that the 3883821 aka Holley 3416A was used on early 1966 327s with K-19. If so, I can find no record of it, though. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: '66 300HP WITH K19 CARB IDENTIFICATION
Rod,
The DP at the end is part of the correct part number for the 3605 Holley for a 1966 Corvette 327/300HP or 350HP. The date code 023 means 3rd week of February, 1970. So it must be a Service Replacement.
