Re: Need Holley carb part # help
you can buy a Holly parts book from Holley.its formally called the "Holly illustrated parts and specs" book . about 15 bucks when i got mine 20+ years ago. gives illustrations, applications and part #'s for carbs and their parts. invaluable reference manual as well as parts ordering book. it lists carb parts #'s and gives the applications. 3310's was an over the counter un iversal aplication carb.its a 780 cfm critter.mike- Top

Re: Need Holley carb part # help
I have an old Holley parts book and it shows the 3310 as being the original unit for 65 Chevelle with 396/425 HP (?) and the 3310-1 for service as a universal 780 CFM unit. Wonder if that's accurate?- Top

Re: Need Holley carb part # help
Not sure why they refered to it as a 425 HP. That's the first time I've ever seen that HP number for a 65 Chevelle.- Top

Re: the chevelle was the Z-16 and they only built
I remember hearing the 201 number for total production also. If the Holley book is correct in stating that the original for Z16 is just 3310 without the -1, that would indeed be a rare carburetor. I have to wonder tho as the Holley book isn't always correct, as we found out from their HP rating for that same engine. I know very little about those cars. I thought they were 360 HP and had a single inlet carburetor.- Top

Re: the chevelle was the Z-16 and they only built
the engines were idendical to the 425 HP 396 1965 corvette engine except for the hyd lifter cam #3873844. the next year 1966 the chevelle had 375 HP 396 but used a solid lifter cam #3863143 and the corvette was 425 HP 427 as you know.- Top

Re: the chevelle was the Z-16 and they only built
Thanks Clem. I knew something was very wrong when I saw that "425 HP" listed in the book for 65 Chevelle. Seems like everything is correct but the HP numbers. I noticed they also refer to the L88 as a 425 HP instead of the correct 430 HP. Other than that, a very handy book to have.- Top
