I have put my car away in storage for the winter, as a result i can not check out if the nipple on the intake uses a 5/8 or 3/4 heater hose. I believe it uses the small 5/8 hose. I am going to put a new intake on and the new one has no fitting in the intake. can someone help me out?

The intake manifold heater hose nipple is for 5/8" hose size; the water pump mounted nipple is for 3/4" size. The original GM part number for the maniold nipple was GM #3838094. The current-day GM replacement is GM #345501. The water pump nipple was originally GM #3849848. The current day replacement for it is GM #6272959. I do not know how the replacements differ from the originals in configuration.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

Sorry, I transposed a digit in one of the part numbers that I provided in the above post. The current GM inlet manifold fitting should be GM #354501 NOT 345501.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
