Fuel filter holder clean up?

Any ideas if this will polish off. If so, with what?

I don't think that it will. I think that there will be minor pitting if you are successful in "polishing out" the piece. What you have here is corrosion which has come through the plating of the bracket. To restore this as-original, it will need to be chemically stripped of existing plating and corrosion and then replated. Even then, the very slight pitting will still be visible. Since the pitting is as slight as it is, it may be possible to sand the pitted areas smooth before the replating is done. That should remove the pitting and make the surface appear smooth.

replating the original will almost certainly exceed cost of repo which are durn good repos. paragon good source. mike

You guys were right. I tried to clean it and polish it up but the pitting remained. I'll get another one from Paragon. Thanks!
