    Part # help=Joe ???

    Joe
I am looking for the plastic pad that fastens to the floor and goes over the dimmer switch on a 69. It resembles a small accelerator pedal. I have tried all the after market parts houses and most of them don't even know what I am talking about.Do you know what the part number would be so that I can check dealers or try on E-bay?I have new carpet for it but would like to replace this part first. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Tom,
I am looking for the same part for my 68 coupe so if you find a source, could you please let me know. I had no luck on e-bay and none of the aftermarket vendors seem to have it in their catalogs.
    Thanks,

For some used parts you might try www.contemporarycorvettes.com and call Paragon. Both facilities have donor parts cars.

I have tried Paragon with no luck.I will try contemp.and see what happens. This must be a fairly common part to be replaced. It cracks just above the floor where it pivots.I don't know how many years they used this same part, but I would think some one would reproduce them. If I could get a GM part # that would be a help. The local dealers don't want to be bothered trying to look something like this up.Thanks for any and all help.

GM part # would be no help. Check the recent archives for a posting from Joe Lucia concerning this part. Loooong been discontinued.
