My driver's side window on my '60 cracked and I have the dated replacement. I plan to take the glass out of the door and take it to a glass shop to put the new piece in the frame. Are there any warnings or hints that I need to give to the glass shop before they have a go at it??
tell the shop to seat the glass in the channel with BLACK bedding, not the tan cork-like bedding most use. the black bedding is available from Lawson products--ya gotta buy a 50 or 100 foot roll though. good luck, mike
There is a rubber piece "rain drip molding" that goes on the bottom of the glass between the frame and glass that you will probably need. Make sure they
install it with the notch to the front and outside.
