    Carter carb identification

I have a Carter WCFB 4-barrel on a '57 Vette wth the metal tag identifier code 2505S. Can anyone tell me what vehicle this carb is from?

    Thanks, Michael

Michael, As you probably aready know, that carb is not from a Vette. At least that is what the NCRS pocket spec says. However, it looks like Carter #s are sequential and date chronological. Sooo, it looks like your carb could be a late 56 or early 57. Could be a Chevy or even a Caddy carb. OR, heaven forbid, a new # for a 57.

    By the way, I too have a 57 - 270/283. Bought in 1968 when I was 21.
