    I like point because I get to dust off my dwell meter and get back to basics. Too bad my l-75 doesn't have solids. Boy did I enjoy adjusting the valves on the Z/28.
    Actually there is a lot of satisfaction that goes with doing your own tuneups and getting it just right. I've started old cars sitting in a field with a little help from a book of matches.... But when the pickup coil goes bad and my brothers Trans-am was cutting out we went crazy tracking it down.
    There's good things on both sides of the fence here. Just depends on the individual application.

      EXACTLY. Don't get the Pertronics unit. I don't like it either.

        Don't buy the Petronics...We used their MarineGrade units for an Offshore boat, We had the points/condensors in the Boat...Thank god...we got home with the Fish.
