My 68 L36 4-speed convertible has (what I believe to be) a replacement frame. On top of the left hand frame rail, just aft of the clutch cross-shaft bracket and forward of the No. 1 body mount there is another bracket, with two holes. This other bracket does nothing other than mystify me. Can anyone tell me what it's for? Thank you.

Re: C3 Frame Bracket
Henry-----
The bracket to which you refer is to mount the brake distribution and pressure differential mounting switch used for 1974-82 Corvettes. It's presence on your frame would indicate that your frame has been replaced with a 74-82 frame. Depending upon which of these years was used, a modest to considerable amount of work would have been necessary to convert the frame to a 1968 application. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
