    Re: Nice Clean Connections John!!!

And a temp gauge that didn't work because its terminal had pushed back into the connector cavity - works now, though

      Another thing to consider...

Continuing to run the car with the charging system pumping the battery up that high is NOT healthy! If you've ever experienced the MESS that results when a battery goes critical from being overcharged and explodes spewing acid around in your engine compartment, you'll agree with me...do NOT let that happen!

To get the car to a competent auto electric shop, you may NOT have to have to hire a flatbed to tow it there... Consider starting the car then disconnecting the battery (either wire, POS or NEG, removed will take the battery out of the circuit) and the car should continue to run on its own with the alternator supplying sufficient energy to continue powering the ignition system.

        Re: Another thing to consider...

Thanks for all the responses. Believe it or not as I began working on the car today the power steering pump locked up. The alternator is driven off of the ps pulley so I've had to put things off until I aquire a new pump this week. I'll check those grounds as well as the bulkhead connector. I'll post an update when I get it figured out. Regards - P.J.
