1967 Coupe Windshield Garnish Molding Colors

Need some information on inner windshield garnish molding colors for a friend who's finishing up a '67 coupe restoration with the #450 white/blue two-tone interior. The Fourth Edition JG (coupe molding color chart on page 32) shows the lower garnish molding as flat blue and the side and upper moldings as semi-gloss blue for the 414/415 bright blue interiors, with a note (3) that says those colors are also correct for the 450 two-tone white/blue interior.

I'm questioning the note (3); since the inner door uppers, visors, headliner, and everything else above the belt line (halo panel, back window moldings, etc.) are white with the two-tone interior, aren't the side and upper windshield garnish moldings also white to match the doors and headliner with only the lower in blue to match the blue dash?

Re: 1967 Coupe Windshield Moldings, Yes!

    John,
My original 67 coupe with #450 interior has the following: windshield lower molding to secure dash is a flat bright blue, the sides moldings and front headliner and side headliner moldings are white. I'll try to get some pics!

      Justin -

Thanks - photos for reference would be appreciated! I'll submit them along with a proposed change to the note (3) in the '67 JG windshield molding chart.

About 20 years ago, I tried to buy a '67 with White/Blue interior, unrestored car, Blue dash and lower, White side pillars and upper to match the doors/roof as you described.

          Bill and John,
Mine was sitting about 20 years before I bought it! As you can see it needs everything, but still remains totally original. That's Bubba's primer on top of original Marina Blue lacquer. Nothing has been removed except motor and carb. I am currently working on rebuilt block and still searching for correctly dated 3810. I'll be out to see the car soon with new photos for the Forum.

Can't see the interior but, What's that interesting reddish looking thing in the background?
