It's "accessible" if you can locate the socket by "feel"; you won't be able to see much unless you're a lilliputian.
If getting at it should prove "unworkable" for you, then you need to pull the left side dash panel forward; you don't need to remove the speedometer head from the dash, though. Tip: if you go behind the dash for this or any other reason, replace ALL of the dash bulbs at the same time. These things are not very expensive and one is better off to "renew" all of them so as to avoid the need for "multiple incursions" behind the dash.
