My 1966 has a water leak on the passenger side. Normal I know.
In my case water drips down the heater AC box and collects right in the center of the passenger foot well. I've located the leak from the approximate 1/8" dia hole in the cowl near the wiper pivot mount. I'm guessing this is a cowl overlap seam that the rivets were missed or have been removed. There are actually 2 holes but water only seems to be coming from one of them. These holes are located right above the sound deadener.
Now what? Plugging the hole(s) I believe will only cause the water to find another path. The water is coming in thru the windshield seal. The seal doesn't appear dried out but I do see an area above the leak where the rubber is pulled away from the glass, about a 1/32". May not be seated properly in this area.
Recommendations? Silicone seal in the gap of the windshield weatherstrip rubber?
