Each headlight bezel is attached to its headlight housing via four screws: two on the top/side of the bezel, and two on the bottom of the bezel. The top/side ones are coarse thread Phillips head screws, which attach to J-Nuts clipped to metal “tabs” protruding from the upper part of the housing (they are cast into the housing). The bottom ones are fine thread Phillips head screws, which attach directly to “tabs” protruding from the lower part of the housing.
One of the housing’s top/side tabs has broken off (and disappeared) at the point of the tab where the screw hole should be.
Does anyone have a dependable fix for this? I don’t want to drive with only the other three screws out of fear that I may break another tab. Do I simply epoxy a piece of metal or rigid plastic to what's left of the tab in such a manner that I can clip another J-Nut to it?
Thanks in advance.
