    Original 65 Owner Pin

Here's the face side of the owner pin. Slightly different than John's so possibly this also changed some time between his car build and this 11149 car.

      Re: Original 65 Owner Pin

Michael, This Owner Pin and Card looks exactly like the one I got with my 1966 (received July/1966) Owner Packet. So, it looks like the key code was added to the Owner Card around mid-1965 or so, and used thru the 1966 model year. Thanks for the info. Dave

        Key Code

Does your card show one key code or two? Just wondered because 66 would be the first year for the 2nd key.

Do you have the letter from GM that came with the packet?

          Re: Key Code

Michael, It shows just one key code. Yes, I still have the original Estes letter. Dave

            Re: Key Code

Interesting. This one was signed by S.E. Knudsen and sent on 22 April, 1965.

I wonder why they didn't list both keys for 66? Guess the IP compt and spare lock key wasn't important.

Yup, it was a neat car - Glen Green, White interior, L-79; was stolen in Cleveland in 1970, stripped shell (with no VIN or trim tag) was found at the bottom of a wooded ravine about six months later .
