I bought a C3 differential that has been rebuilt with a 4:11 gear the side yokes are parallel to each other On my other 2 vettes (auto cars) they are almost 90 degrees apart form whatI read in the manual they are supposed to be about 90 degrees am i correct or did the rebuilder make a mistake by setting them up equal

It matters not, as the Posi slips when rounding a corner, thus any initial alignment of the yokes is disrupted as soon as you turn a corner. In my Barn, they wouldn't make it out of the parking slot without moving in relation to each other.Bill Clupper #618- Top

'65 AIM shows 90 deg in drawings, BUT ....
.... that's for the BASE set-up (non-posi). I see no note in the '65 AIM (C3 AIM's may differ) specifying 90 degrees set-up -- anyway, the differential arrived at St.Louis as an assembly; they set the 90 degrees on the non-posi units at the Warren Gear plant.- Top

And again the factory setting was for assembly convenience, it has no meaning by the time the car has left the assembly line.Bill Clupper #618- Top
