1962 Corvette Birthdate

I have a 1962 Corvette with a serial number of 111753. I heard there is a web site to figure out the birthay of my Vette. From what I have read in the NCRS Pocket Spec Guide it is a May 1962 car. Is there a way to narrow down the date?

David - I think the key word is "extrapolate..."

...I believe, based on end of month info, my '62 11966 was built 05/30/62.
End of April VIN = 10519
End of May VIN = 12035
I would think your car will fit right in a small window of build opportunity...

Since there were 1516 Corvettes built in May and your vin is 282 from the end I would say it built 2-4 days before the end of the month. Someone with a birthday book will probably narrow it down even further.

The birthday calender on the C1 registry website comes up with Dec. 31 1953, a bit off I'd say. Hope this helps

Oeps, small bug, it has been solved. It returns 05/24/1962 now as the likely build date.

Interpolate is to determine a number between several data points, extrapolate is to determine a number outside the data points.
