I have a 65 vette with fuel injection, I want to adjust the cold enrichment (choke). The 65 shop manual says to set to index. What is index? It doesn't say anything about x number of notches to rich or lean.
Any information is appreciated.
get it started. I don't think the choke will make it start any faster. Make sure your butterfly shaft is not binding and your fast idle linkage is free.
If any 7380 unit runs properly when cold with an assembly line choke cover set near the GM index mark, then that unit is running far too lean when the engine has warmed up.
