      Nice description.

Any other current auctions out there about this L79/88?

        A modest proposal.

Tracy, why don't you sponsor such an auction?

By the way, it costs a minimum of $40 to list an auction in the vehicle category.

forgive me as I expose my ignorance Jerry

I've never listed in the vehicle category. Apparently the listing fee isn't determined by the starting price like other auctions.

I'll crawl back under my rock now.

                Great Job Everyone...except

unfortunately I do not think a lot of these bidders are going to see it. Unless you place the ad in the passenger vehicles section and have a large starting bid of say $100,000 so that the ad is directly below the ad for the L88. I think that would do the trick. Unfortunately though the ad would be more expensive. I would make a contribution though if someone was to do this.

I think at least one bidder saw the posts because there was a bid retraction. The bidding was at $185,000 earlier today, then dropped back to $180,100. Check the bidders list.

Please stop. I couldn't catch my breath I was laughing so hard. My wife almost called 911 thinking I was dying. This has to be the best topic ever. :o)

I haven't heard from him and don't expect to. The retracted bid was $190,000. My wife also wondered what was wrong with me I was laughing so hard. Thanks for the additional ad. GL

Great shot. I've managed to eek out a living as a pro-photographer since 76. Studied under J.R Sullivan a Staff Life photographer during WWII. He sent me out on my own stressing composition etc. Y'all nailed it with this one.

I had emailed the seller and ask if he had pics of the trim and vin tag. He just replied "no". It did however give me his email address. So, I just sent the auction to him. Here is his email address if anyone is interested. The only thing I hate about all this is that I didn't think it up. Bill

I asked the question..."Is this car a real L-88?" The reply came back this afternoon..."Yes". This fella has his head stuck in the sand!!
