I was informed this past weekend by Terry Michaelis / pres of ProTeam that there were only 12 of my car made with this color combo..(no clones allowed) and the 396/425hp 4 speed convertible....and from that number still even less around....so I am a very Happy camper!!!! thanks Terry

How would he know? Were you buying a car from them? All their BB's are real too, and rare. I've always read those numbers were never available only guesses.

Let's offer this perspective:
When I bought an old 62 that had some welded on trailer tied-down hooks, etc., and began to trace its history, I discovered that it was the Gulf Oil 62 that Dick Thompson and Don Yenko had won national A-production title with in 1962. First in class at Daytona, Elkhart Lake, Sebring, etc., etc.
I talked with the party from whom I bought it--he bought it from Terry Michaelis, then dba Linda Layman enterprises. When I called them to trace the history of where they got it, they remembered it as "that old drag race car"--(the one with heavy brakes, vestiges of the former installation of the 37 gallon fiberglass gas tank, etc.)
'Nuff said?

there is a 65 SB on the 'bay right now with that UU (Rally Red) & 443 (red and white, vinyl) combination (I would like to know the math used to get to "1 of 12" with any certainty on that BB, btw):

Marc after you find all the 65 rally red cars of 3,688, and get there interior colors. you tell me. what I am saying GM never kept records of how many cars were made with one specific option(s) , and how many were made like yours or others. a lot of people would love to knows this including me. But unless all the corvette owners across the world give someone all the data on there car it will never happen. Since you said big block and Terry Michaels in one sentence you get red flag response from a lot of peopleComment
